Job Description

  • Sales Director, Protective & Marine Coatings is a member of Jotun Paints Vietnam’s Management Board. The position holder will be responsible for Protective & Marine Sales and its valid organisation chart, reporting to General Director and respective Regional Sales Directors, SEAP. The position holder would be as follows:
  • Be responsible for strategy development and medium as well as long term execution of Protective and Marine Coatings Business Plan, providing pricing and product selection strategy to ensure market share growth and profitability through hit rate, market coverage and brand awareness expansion.
  • Be accountable for attaining sales target by turnover increase, gross margin protection, growth and collection achievement
  • Build up and enhance the partner relationship with all stakeholders, including but not limited to owners, consultants, contractors/ applicators & competent authorities involved in protective coating specification.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators, supervise, develop, support and motivate sales team to ensure efficient performance with high level of professionalism and commitment in representing Jotun.
  • Collect and keep abreast with market intelligence to bring out Jotun’s flexibility to respond to market situation/ trend and new business development.
  • Maintain existing customers, develop new markets and maximize resources as well as business opportunities to achieve sales targets; Build and maintain strong relationship with top level customers.
  • Control business procedures in Protective & Marine Coatings to ensure conformity with Jotun’s regulations in general and other related functions in particular.
  • Manage and develop Sales team by leading, coaching, supporting & motivating through technical & commercial knowledge, communication transparency, winning spirit, fighting resilience and performance acknowledgement.

Job Requirement

  • University graduate or higher education in relevant fields (Business Administration/ Marketing). Experience in coating industry is an advantage
  • Minimum five-year experience in B2B sales management with successful track records and strong ability to develop winning teams.
  • Good understanding and experience of the relevant industries including products, customers, partners and inter-company network.
  • Excellent leadership skills, strong sense of applied strategy and business development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Strong integrity and understanding of professionalism and code of conduct.
  • Willing to travel domestic/ overseas for business purposes.

  • To have the operative responsibility for project sales for Decorative . This entails being responsible for ensuring that imposed tasks are carried out professionally and practically pursuant to instructions, public requirements, and plans of action in order to ensure that the established objectives are achieved;
  • Set and broadcast Jotun brand in Vietnam project market by exploiting, expanding and strengthening relationship with architectures, developers, contractors to ensure Jotun Paints Vietnam be able to grow and get profit by exceeding customer expectation;
  • Live, work, think and sell by reflecting brave spirit of Penguin to ensure Jotun's business principles in Vietnam market;
  • Be an excellent salesman by incessantly improving to ensure for the sustainable development of Jotun Deco project team;
  • Show leading role as a big player in Decorative project market by approaching projects in large scale and building a strong and structured Jotun Decorative project team for good business result, both short and long term. .

Job Requirement

  • University graduate in relevant fields including Business Administration/ Chemistry/ Construction or Architecture universities;
  • At least 3 year working experience in Project sales is a priority;
  • Able to build up and develop good relationship with potential customers, contractors and architects;
  • Independent, professional and suitable for dynamic and challenging working environment;
  • Good communication skills in both Vietnamese & English.
